Wonder if Helen Chamberlain read that after she said he never looked that bad when she was going out with him.

Who knew being a top 5 PDC player was this fun! Barney and now Wade, must be a cracking night out.

Wish him the best anyway.

I watched his game against Peter Wright on Saturday and he was patchy to say the least. He didn't appear happy with himself or his game in any way

You should have put a comforting arm around him and given him a Werthers Original.

Maybe he could have given his darts away as well? I'm sure there's another pub landlord with a son somewhere...

Frog, i might be able to get tickets for the Gando exbo, meet the players, allegedly throw some darts with them ... £20 each.

Interesting, let me know if you can. Not sure if Rona is staying tonight, she's due any second here as we are going to the antiques roadshow in St Andrews.
She'd definately be up for a Barney, Gando exhibit as well so let me know if you can get them.

Wade's issued a statement on Planet Darts:
FOLLOWING an article in Thursday's Sun newspaper, James Wade has released the following statement:

Some of you may have read the stories today (May 26 2011) in The Sun and online about my bipolar affective disorder and ADHD.

This is something that I have lived with for many years and am thankful that I am now receiving the very best of help.

I am currently in a great place and as you will have seen my form is also recovering at great speed!

I want to thank everyone for their kind messages. I'm blown away by your support.

In particular I want to thank the PDC, my sponsors, my family, friends and my management team for their support this year.

I want people who are also suffering to know that there is no shame in asking for help - in fact it's the very best thing to do.

See you in Bolton!

James Wade
