aye doubles was quality, really enjoyed that tournament.

i think they should do a doubles tournament but just let the player decide who they pair up with.

i do like most of the tournaments in the summer months from the UK open up to the grand prix in october, coming straight off the stale PL.

ovciously ally pally and lakeside are 1 & 2. cant say i care for the GSod as much as others, i only really liked it because ITV did it, and now they don't i could give a fuck about it.

'i think they should do a doubles tournament but just let the player decide who they pair up with.'

Either that or say if there are 32 seeds then seed 1 plays with 32, 2 plays with 31 etc. Or possibly an open draw.

maybe. plus no one would pair up with phil because he's an unbearable fuck. pop him with spaceman, or jim mckevitt, to make it interesting.

a pairing of ando - webby would be possible. probably lose my sight.

It would be interesting to have the old guys pick teams of players and have them coach their choices (line-ups and who plays what events) in a points competion.

team lowe, team bristow, team wilson etc

in different formats singles 301 & 501, doubles 401 di-do & 601 fi-do, king 1001, halvesies, whatever

then the old guys could trash talk the other teams (for points, of course)

Wade would have to be on team Wilson.

This is exactly how I'd like to see it done. Be very hard to guess how things would go.

1. GSoD - unify darts! I even like the group stages.
2. UK Open - like a big pub. (And more opportunity for bridging the divide)
3. Matchplay - don't know why i like this one
4. PDC Worlds - only if Taylor's off-form
5. BDO worlds - historical (post-changes allowed on here?)

1. UK Open - love the open draw
2. Grand Slam Of Darts - cross code & the league format
3. PDC World Champs - Highest accolade in the PDC
4. Lakeside - same reason as above for BDO
5. World Grand Prix - Double in double out is something different

God help us all during the Grand Prix.

I always thought of the Matchplay as the legplay Worlds. Arguably as tough or tougher to win than the Worlds.

Surely not mate.

I don't know who decided that setplay was some kind of ultimate darts format. Bizarre to think that the Matchplay was once the only legplay event on TV.
