Group games are best of 9, not 7.

Re: 2022 Asian Championship
Professional darts in Japan has been back up at near pre-Corona levels for at least a year now, I really don't think lack of match practice is an issue for Asada or any of the other Japanese players anymore.thegentle wrote: โFri Sep 23, 2022 1:40 pm Not quite sure how Asada has been playing (though he seemed to play well in the qualifier yesterday), but I think having to go down this route might help him as it's all extra match practice, which everyone in the entire region has missed out on recently. Lam probably got the best of both worlds through qualifying automatically at the last opportunity, although on paper you'd say Asada is better

Re: 2022 Asian Championship
Even steel-tip, Zeyes? Obviously there hasn't been Asian Tour stuff, and I can't say I've seen much WDF stuff over there. Is there any other steel-tip tour that they have there?

Re: 2022 Asian Championship
There's the decentralized online D-Tour since late 2020 that's being played on the same FIDO bristle board machines as the Asian Series was just now, and they've had three WDF-ranked tournaments in Japan this year. But that aside - high-stakes darts in Japan means soft-tip for the most part, and always has. I don't know why you'd want to brush aside the copious amounts of play time they get there. Asada versus Yamada (or whoever) on a Winmau board isn't going to be any tougher for either of them than Asada versus Yamada on a Dartslive machine.

Re: 2022 Asian Championship
the most boring group it seems, maybe slow would be a better description, is featured on the stream currently.
