Re: 2023 Greatest Show on Earth
So can anyone name a Ukrainian player ? Can't imagine the standard is going to be very good. Of course we all know why the PDC have done this.

Can anyone enter the Regional qualifiers e.g South West Europe? Might enter as a Maltese representative I fancy my chances as earlier today I hit 3 Treble 19s in 3 attempts

Annoyingly they seem to have taken the south east one out, thought I’d have a chance as my closest rival would be the deadly rose John Michael!

Is it not just 2 as they haven’t included challenge and dev tour?

The Indian and SE Europe one surely will be added
TBH In previous years there's been 2 Chinese players so that wouldn't surprise me. That or a 3rd PDPA player as usual

CDC Continental Cup could see Danny Lauby or Jacob Taylor get a spot if Baggish/Gates/Cameron win it

From the OOM Rules
- The two highest ranked players on the 2022 Development Tour Order of Merit and then the two highest ranked players on the 2022 Challenge Tour Order of Merit and then the two highest ranked players on the 2022 Women’s Series Order of Merit receive an invitation to the 2022/23 World Championship.

Where is Oche getting his info from? In the distant past, Austria was part of the Eastern European qualifier, but in the last few years, it's been in the South/East section with countries like Greece, Switzerland and ItalyThe Thorn wrote:I don't get that either. Re: 2023 Greatest Show on Earth
Seen the article on PDC.tv, mad that, seeing as there's usually a decent enough qualifier coming out of both regions. I guess maybe they've seen that there are a number of Eastern Euros already qualified more or less via the ProTour (and Gawlas currently in albeit very precarious) and are considering them a bit dispensable, but I wouldn't particularly enjoy hearing that news if I were someone like Bialecki or Rusty-Jakethegentle wrote:Where is Oche getting his info from? Re: 2023 Greatest Show on Earth
Why is the Benelux Qualifier happening in Germany as well?
Strange that as it's usually in Netherlands or Belgium

Are there any Covid restrictions in any of the areas where they might normally hold such an event?DeepFriedRat wrote:Why is the Benelux Qualifier happening in Germany as well?

Re: 2023 Greatest Show on Earth
The second Chinese player was added when we were right in the thick of Covid tbf, I guess they were certain enough of a second Chinese player being able to come in those times rather than a player from another Asian country? They controversially just invited Gilitwala rather than hold an event in IndiaDeepFriedRat wrote:The Indian and SE Europe one surely will be added
