The West Europe qualifier seems to be coinciding with a major German soft-tip championship (same date, same not very large city with a single well-known event location), which doesn't make a whole lot of sense if it's just for Dutch and Belgian players even being right across the border from those two countries. So, might be including German players this year. I have no idea what that means for the German Super League.

Tbf, since the German (sorry, PDC Europe) Super League is only for a limited number of Germans who are more than likely going to participate via an invitation, it doesn't really leave much of a chance for many Germans out there who aren't in the Super League to qualify for Ally Pally, I wonder if the Germans who aren't in it will compete in the West European event?

Again we don't know how people will play during the PDC. Mitchell & Waites joined beyond their peaks IMO. Although both players can still do well within the PDC
Waites lost his card after 2 years and had to reclaim it at Q School. But yes, he did join the PDC when he was clearly past his prime. Mitchell hasn't managed to qualify for the Matchplay, Grand Prix, or Grand Slam since joining the PDC. Maybe he just isn't as good as you, Thorn and others hoped. He was always overhyped imo. Yes, some players take to the PDC better than others. However, I see little to suggest that Duff would crack the PDC's top 16 or even 32. He isn't a relatively young prospect like Noppert was. Neither has he shown anywhere near the ability that Duzza did prior to switching.

Mitchell was excellent in 2014/5 perhaps that was his peak. I don't know but he been getting high averages and losing. I've never said duff would crack the top 32. But he is 50 now so will go down the Seniors route next year. Either way i dont think the PDC or Duff will careless.

Which germans would it be limited to. The Guys on tour or will there be some ranking system in place

Looks like neither Hopp, Wenig or Hempel are going to make it through Pro Tour so this could be the lifeline for them. Schindler will comfortably make it so probably wouldn't expect him to play

If Schindler plays and wins that (which he should), then it'll go down to 33rd on the ProTour

There’s a few in that list who I’m sure haven’t bothered with any challenge tour stuff this year like Bunse, Schindler should piss that

Don't get why Schindler would play this he would be making his first round draw harder for no reason.

Surely his qualifying spot would be taken from the OOM first before this?

They changed the rules about that

If anyone qualifies both ways this year then ProTour takes preference now and the international spot goes to 33rd on the ProTour list

Does anyone think there should be more PDPA members qualifiers instead of 2?

No. If they cant get into the top 32 in a two year list, or then a top 32 in a one year list with the first 32 stripped out of it, then they are more than likely utter shite and should be nowhere near it.

Would rather see two extra foreign jobbers who may be better than two UK-based jobbers who struggled to string together two Pro Tour wins on the tour all year.
