None of this resting on your laurels for those players who just missed out on a card this year! Oh, Dragutin Horvat...

If Barstow and North make the top 32, I'll claim it.

So are we back to just one challenge tour and it's not split between uk/Europe this year?

I'm told this tour is a highly scientific instrument. Anyone have a list of all Challenge Tour OoM winners?

The 2013 Challenge Tour was an interesting one, it was open to tour card holders, but only those under 25 and outside of the top 64. I know there are plenty of people who would like the Development Tour to have similar (if not quite exactly the same) eligibility rules

Cross went on to immediate stardom, Rydz didn't take that long to rise up the ranks, Smudger and Searle eventually hit form, but apart from that, it's pretty slim pickings, you'd have thought the Challenge Tour would have produced some better players considering it's basically the next best thing after the ProTour

Nice one. Looking at the 2016 and 2018 winners...

Cross won the Worlds. Barnard... well, let's just say he didn't.

The mischievous might be tempted to call it a lottery.

Wayne Jones and Mark Dudbridge in 2017 looks a barrel of fun.
Boring Brendas number one and (almost) only fan.

Smithys number one and (definitely not) only hater.

Yeah Barnard was very dominant on the CT and then correspondingly horrific on the main tour. Without the middle bit. Quite weird.

David Evans did something similar ish I think?

Any system you like, ultimately it's about what humans do with opportunities. So that's about it for this post. People are hopeless. Cheers.

Barnard dominated the Challenge Tour while being very solid on the ProTour, but then it all went to pot in the new year, I seem to recall he had mental health issues at the time
