A glorious day ahead despite us being nearly half way though it.
Hope sexy Steve slept well last night and is safely back home recuperating ready for his next challenge.

Re: NATIONAL SIR STEVE BEATON DAY (20.12.21)
I remember Steve Beaton did an Exhibition at one of the local pubs in our area in 1996 when he was The BDO (Lakeside World Darts champion). My Darts partner who is no longer with us, never missed a 20 from 501 and finished on 130. with a treble 20, single 20, and hit the Bull to beat him that year and his finish against him is engraved on his headstone as a memory of his victory against Steve Beaton, by the way, he was the only person to beat him that night.
Steve also got beat by Nick Gedney in the last 32 of the 1994 BDO Lakeside World champions, whose uncle use to play darts in our local pub in the '80s and '90s and early 2000's he told me about Nick beating Steve Beaton. where is Nick Gedney now is he still playing darts I wonder.
I hope Steve beats Kim Hueybrechts in the last 64 on Wednesday, but I think he will struggle to beat Gerwyn Price the defending champion in the last 32, but if he does it will be a great victory for him.
What a legend Steve Beaton is not missed a World Championships since 1992, that's 31 consecutive appearances 10 BDO consecutive appearances (Lakeside) and 21 consecutive appearances in The PDC World Champions since 2002, no other dart player has done that in The PDC version of the event, and it will be a hard record to break I reckon.
Well done SAFC for setting up this page it's well deserved and let's hope Steve Beaton gets an MBE sometime for his services to darts over the last 30 years.

A simply glorious piece of script from Darts Secretary there.
A record that will be hard pushed to be broken.

Good words Darts Secretary
It’s been a tough couple of years being a Beaton fan, especially the defeat to Portela round 1 last year, so to get a big win last night was really satisfying, he could’ve had a lot worse seeds than Huybrechts as well, really hope he can do it and get that clash with Price round 3

Enjoy sexy Steve while we still can, the great man is in the swansong of his career as we know so time to make the most of him.
I experienced similar emotions when Lord Ronald reached the end but Steve has surpassed those emotions.
Long may it continue.

We can have our own fuck off Steve Beaton thread once he jobbs to Kimbo.
Boring Brendas number one and (almost) only fan.
Smithys number one and (definitely not) only hater.

Blasphemous!
At least with the Smith, Wade and RVB threads, they’ve at least been an arsehole previously.

Re: NATIONAL SIR STEVE BEATON DAY (20.12.21)
Here is the video of Nick Gedney beating Steve Beaton in the first round of the 1994 BDO World Championships, as always Steve was graceful in defeat and congratulated his opponent on his victory as I quoted in my earlier post Nick Gedney's uncle use to play darts in our local pub in the '80s and '90s and early 2000's he told me about Nick beating Steve Beaton.
