I’m guessing PT13 might be the one for this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm hoping Randall attempts to use the calculator on his phone...
I don’t know what will be longer, PT13 posting War and Peace on here or Randall trying to master phone technology??

More or less UK 82-78 EU in averages (pic).

The final stage looks something like UK 87-83 EU.

Not an easy question at all, I'm not sure how they could do that.

If you simply take the overall average in each school, 78.09 in Euro and 81.97 in UK and give the cards based on that ratio, you would end up with 16.4 cards for the UK and 15.6 for Euro. Which is obviously not the number we're looking for.

If you take the top 32 performers from QS overall, the split would be 27-5. Which is not too helpful either.

Only 5 Euro players made it to the top 32 overall averages, Justicia, Plaisier, Tricole, Vandenbogaerde and Pietreczko.

It's also interesting that only 15 of the top 32 in the averages ended up winning a card.

I'll actually agree (well, sort of) with Oche on this one, there is an element of lottery involved and I'd like to see there more cards given via the PDC's affiliated tours (maybe after Fallon's poor show here the PDC will give out cards to the Women's Series now lol), however, you can't just get rid of Q-School, and ultimately, the cream always rises to the top, even if it takes a while!

27-5! That's racist mate.

Good work on the numeros. 16-16 based on averages then. I think it's fair to say that most feel the UK could have had one or two extra cards this year? 18-14? So the question is: is there some credible calculation available that could have created that split?

Not that the PDC want to be edging Europe out of the 128 but I'm sure they've poked about with the numbers. Using entry numbers only is alright but it's a blunt took.

I'm sure the process could be optimised but that would almost certainly make it more complicated. Entry numbers is a clear and logical metric to use even if it's not totally fair apparently. Any other method would have to be somewhat arbitrary.
