Classic basil misunderstandings abound during this one.
I love it but something had to be 10th.
By the way, you know the girl (Jean, played by April Walker) in this episode? She was first choice to play Sarah-Jane Smith in Doctor Who.
Pertwee didn't approve so they went for Liz Sladen instead. Fun fact.

I didn't know that

The Kipper and the Corpse
Gourmet Night
Communication Problems

Would probably be my top 3.
Maybe Waldorf Salad 4th?

I'm tempted to give them all a watch again over the weekend now.
Fuck off Stuart Pyke and John Rawling!

Ahem

Has the series best scene where he thrashed his car and the scenes with the drunk chef are fantastic but it is just popped at the post

I think the difference for me is that I've grown a little weary of your #1 whereas the deaf woman ep is always a joy and stays fresh somehow.

1 the germans

It just has too many memorable scenes in not to be number 1 for me

The fire drill is a joy
The majors cricket discussion and of course basil's immortal goose stepping clash with his guests.

It's the goose stepping!

"Will you stop taking about the war"
"Me, you started it"
"No we didn't"
'Yes you did, you invaded Poland"
