I always loved the scene where he's repulsed that Mr Johnson asks him if a chemist is still open.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 10:16 pm11 Nooo I’m not having that. On a similar theme there’s one in the Wedding party when the couple ask for a double room and he is disgusted and states they can’t have one as it’s the law of England before Sybil rocks up and let’s them have a room togetherJimmi wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 10:20 pmI always loved the scene where he's repulsed that Mr Johnson asks him if a chemist is still open.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 10:16 pm11 Nooo I’m not having that. Not sure why Sybil won't give him any.

Imo Basil Fawlty has got to be the greatest ever tv character. Runners up would be Derek Trotter and Homer Simpson.Jimmi wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 10:33 pmPoor Basil.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 10:25 pmOn a similar theme there’s one in the Wedding party when the couple ask for a double room and he is disgusted and states they can’t have one as it’s the law of England before Sybil rocks up and let’s them have a room togetherJimmi wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 10:20 pmI always loved the scene where he's repulsed that Mr Johnson asks him if a chemist is still open.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 10:16 pm11 Nooo I’m not having that. 100% agree Brittas is great but the last 2 series are beyond ridiculous especially the episode with the shark in the pool.
The episode where he is trying to get pigeon out of the gym is sublime.
Rands watch this episode.

10 the wedding party
Classic basil misunderstandings abound during this one.
I love it but something had to be 10th.

They change writers for the last two series. Plus Laura leaves and she was the relatable character, a 'proper' actress who gave the thing its shape and made it a bit more special than your average sitcom fodder. It's kind of pointless once she's gone.Safc wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 9:41 pm100% agree Brittas is great but the last 2 series are beyond ridiculous especially the episode with the shark in the pool.

I remember the shark. Isn't there an ostrich or something too? A llama? oh dear.

I love the part where he bashes the bricks together and puts his ears close to them.
