Chris Chibnall could be the worst thing to plague the bbc in decades and theres some serious competition.
Boring Brendas number one and (almost) only fan.

Smithys number one and (definitely not) only hater.

Its not the PC stuff thats the main problem, its that Chibnall is a utterly terrible writer and showrunner. A GCSE english student would get a B- for this shite.

New Who isn't my show and I can take it or leave it, that's fine. I have just finished watching the Eccles season and Tennant's first episode.

When they work out how to solve the gas mask child horrors in series 1, Eccles is shiny eyed and screaming "Everybody lives!!". He was begging for it to happen and he lights up when it works. The Eccleston doctor finally gets a good day and his victory lap is brilliant.

Tennant spends his first ep wondering who he is now. There's a bad alien lad whose life the doctor saves. The alien is a total cunt about that and tries to kill the doctor who retaliates by killing him without even looking and struts away: "No second chances, that's the sort of man I am". Billie Piper looks a bit alarmed. This is the Tennant doctor.

I know nothing about making TV but I know when something has landed in my stone heart. This stuff was exhilarating and dark.

Then I watched the 2022 NYD special. When Chibnall tries to write 'Doctor' moments like the above... well, you get this. You just imagine him sitting there smugly celebrating himself for nailing this iconic scene. From the 50 second mark. I can't even look at it, lol. Poor Jodie and her arms.

I've just finished Series 3. Not seen these eps for 15 years. I'd forgotten how much fun the show used to be. Chinballs can absolutely do one.

Ally Pally in the Doctor Who episode 'The Idiot's Lantern', May 2006. That's Tennant having a revelation at it.

The cliffhanger that shocked a nation in summer 2008. Nearly 11 million tuned in for Part 2.

The Doctor finds Rose. Freaks out. They sprint towards each other.
Dalek.
"I'm regenerating".
Credits.
WHAT

Best few minutes of BBC until Hinges asked Bobby George if he'd flush.

That's quite alright Randy. Most people weren't. You're bursting to know what happened next which is the important thing. I'll be watching Part 2 later. I'll be in touch.

 let it out Randy. He behaviour on the set of this show was vile. Noel Clarke, who played Billie Piper's boyfriend, is another who appears to have been one of the most horrific tossers imaginable. Yay Doctor Who.

On the plus side of that picture, bottom right is probably the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen on TV.

She was in Torchwood too but no, we don't talk about Torchwood Rando. You think Colin Baker was a spin-off show so this wouldn't end well.
