Is he dead?
Again?
No decapitation but with another film this time next year. There’s no way they were going to kill him off.

They won’t make the mistake of having a Halloween film without Michael Myers again.
They learned their lesson with Halloween 3 not having him feature.
Season of the witch was hopeless
If it was a stand alone film, it wouldn’t get as much hate as it does.
Most people don’t like it purely because there is no Michael Myers.

1,2,4, H20 and 2018 and 2021 are the only ones worth watching.
The Rob Zombie remakes of the original two can fuck right off.

The franchises or the actual characters?

Films: Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th.

Characters: Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees.

Freddy is the most well known, otherwise I’d have put Michael above him.

Halloween 1978 and NOES 1 and 3 are far better films than any of the F13th films.

I think it would make for a good debate which films out of the 3 have the worst sequels.
Maybe even chuck Leatherface and Texas Chainsaw Massacre into the mix as well.

In terms of pure enjoyment noes 3 is my favourite but 1 is a "better film"
Friday the 13th has the worst sequels, they just got ridiculous
TCM does nothing for me really

I’ve seen people argue that NOES 3 is the better film and I wouldn’t wholeheartedly disagree with them.
Although I don’t really dislike NOES 2, it’s the true sequel to the original.

Halloween’s sequels aren’t far off Friday the 13th’s.
A few of the F13th sequels are just “meh”, whereas Halloween has some downright awful efforts.

The first TCM is a classic and I like the remake too.
The first sequel isn’t bad either.
But Texas Chainsaw 3D is the worst.
Even worse than the 4th film with a young Matthew McConaughey and Renée Zellweger.

Yes.
That’s “Jason Takes Manhattan”.
Part 8 of the franchise.

The one that is also the worst in the series or at least I think so.
Even worse than the one that came after.

The concept of Freddie is far more interesting

Freddy became a bit of a joke towards the end.
I still need to watch “Freddy’s Dead”.
But I’ve read that is where he’s basically a parody of himself.

Wasn't there one set in "real life" as well where he was stalking the original actors?

Carpenter didn’t even want to do a sequel.

But money talks.

Yeah, that’s “Wes Craven’s New Nightmare”.
One of the better sequels.
