Action Man

Wondering if there are more people on this gaff that collect Action Man figures?

And old mate of mine introduced me to it a while ago, and it's real fun I tell ya. Apparently decades ago it started as just collecting the figures.

Recently it evolved into a kind of mashup art form, where action man is combined with media such as books and music.

If I find the time I will post some I've made myself. Apologies for the shitty pic quality I'm not a professional artist lol.

later on I added speech bubbles, mocking the fact that action man talked a lot in the TV commercials, but in reality didn't have much to say.

It's in a box with my star wars figures and that stretchy plastic hulk toy they used to do.

Apparently he hates action films, especially the martial arts variant. To quote the good man: (they're for) "simple minded people with a short attention span".

Just a few posts earlier be mentioned his wife wanting to watch The Raid.


It evolved into a "discussion" about the (de)merits of said genre.
Long story short: action man.

Secondary reason: I refuse to use forum members' real faces on pics, it goes against every principle I have.

Forgot to mention the aftermath. I posted a few of those pics and he went in full meltdown mode. That was about 10 days ago, and he's still seething today.
