Remake being shown on Channel 5 tonight.

A lesbian scene within the first 10 minutes.

It's not exactly a remake. It's effectively a prequel. Bea Smith goes to jail and it's her story before "Prisoner" as we knew it. It's set in the current day instead if the early 70s and is only a 10 episode season instead of an ongoing soap. They're bringing Ferguson into the second season whereas in the original, it was a few years before she arrived so it's completely breaking the timeline.

Not really interested in the plot to be honest, a bit of lezza action is the attraction.

Ah yes, he used to play 'Ted Douglas' from the 'Department'. Think he may have played other characters before Ted.

Alf Stewart also played at least two different characters - Ernest Craven the evil governor of Blackmoor and an old mate of Jim Fletchers who ended up killing Jim's family, if memory serves..
