i was going to start this thread the other day as it happens.

im reading andy mcdermotts second novel still, a bit bogged down in military action and seems to have forgotten what the plot is supposed to be.

Just started "The Pines" by Robert Dunbar.
A horror book (as usual!) - started off ok (but the print is feckin' tiny!) combining "Deliverance"-style inbred yokel stuff with the Jersey Devil legend. Apparently a "modern horror classic", we'll see......

these were american hardcore magazines, left nothing to the imagination.

i had to have a good look through several to be totally sure how disgusted i was to find them there.

Does reading on a screen actually affect the eyes? Or is that just a myth?
