aaaah that would be roman ad42 onwards.....i only read fiction from early ages and the second world war. i really couldnt get into that violets are blue book by patterson i know you said it was one of his best but it just felt like i was reading some shit american film.

only 90 pages into the passage and it has epic written all over it, echoes of king in the writing style.

300 pages into the passage now, it may as well just be called the stand and have kings name on the cover.

thought you would like that pal, i've been reading steve alten's "mayan" books very good in my opinion.
also not new but loving michael connelly's stuff "harry bosch" is a great character
