Read all James Herberts stuff, and currently catching up on a lot of Graham Masterton - so tits n gore is no issue
What have you made of kings recent output?

Hmmmm.....bit meh. Last one I read was Revival.
They’re well written but the stories are dull. In my opinion.
Last one I really liked was the JFK time travel one.

Probably the last 1 I loved.
Sleeping beauties was tiresome
The institute was better.

George RR Martin - Songs The Dead Men Sing
Kim Newman - Famous Monsters
still to read the top two. The Kim Newman was a bit meh.

Finished Whitley Strieber's The Hunger, that was pretty good.
Added Ramsey Campbell - The Searching Dead, to the "to read" pile.

Strieber. Yes, used to be. Did Wolfen and The Hunger which were made into reasonably big films.

Then he claimed he'd been abducted by aliens and went a bit mad. Wrote Communion about the experience, which also became a film, if I recall correctly

The cover of 'Communion' is extraordinarily weird. It seems to have quite an effect on people. I have the book but haven't read it yet.

I didn't know he'd written fiction too. Some might say it's all fiction but you know... an interesting guy for sure.
