It was like this crap was being forced upon people to show brit movies could compete with the american market in terms of action and the fact was and still is for the most part brit action movies are utter utter shit.

The brits do however make the best drama's in my opinion, and plenty other genres are also exception but action movies and comedy films were never the forte of britain.

I would put james bond movies alongside other shit like the carry on movies in the worst series of movies EVER produced total shit, hated them as a kid and would never want to see one every again.
Pretty much agree. It's strange, because there have been so many classic British comedies on TV. But almost every single comedy film that has come out of this country has been a total abomination.

And the 'gangster' films lack credibility. Especially Guy Ritchie. Yes there was a gangster scene in London in the 60s, but since then no, not really. Pretty non-existent now.

It's a completely different culture to those with real gangs, like USA, China, Japan, Russia, Hong Kong, etc. The 'gangs' you see in Cardiff are laughable, if they tried to pull their shit in Los Angeles they'd be six foot underground pretty quickly.
