saw them a few years back, bruce foxton from "the jam" was playing bass for them, was a smallish club, and henry cluney was drinking with us afterwards, my brothers then band were also playing

yes ive seen foxton play with them at brighton before
they were good friday , had another paddy band on with them called ricky warwick and the fighting hearts

Only seen SLF once back in 2000 when I was 17, had probably wanted to see them since I was 12 although was more a hardcore thrash man by that stage. Spent what little cash I had at the time on the ticket and saw them just play new stuff and folk songs...(foxton was there!) then a token suspect device and they were off. Never want to see them again!!
Caught RUTS DC a year or so back and would recommend them any day of all the old timers still playing....will never match the RUTS with 2 key ingredients being gone, but they are still shit hot live!
