THE TV SHOW THREAD - *** NO SPOILERS ***

Post by Justin Credible » Sat Jun 02, 2012 10:57 pm

As many will know I dont watch live tv with the exception of darts and some football.

I went years upon years without watching even any form of tv shows and eventually i decided to watch certain shows that i have read about.

so in the last 2 years or so i downloaded and watched dozens of tv shows straight through from start to finish.
My all time list of favorites so far in no particular order including those still running

Law and Order
Law and Order SVU
Law and Order Criminal Intent
Breaking Bad
The Sopranos
The Shield
Mad Men
House
Boston Legal
Waking the Dead
The Body Farm
New Tricks
Silent Witness
Cold Case
Without a Trace

and most recently in the last 2 weeks i have watched the british crime shows Whitechapel...which was pretty decent enough and Luther which was excellent.

I watched as much of Prison break after hearing these glowing reports.......good god talk about utter crap and far fetched.
could not get into the bluebloods, just seemed dour and lacking.

Just finished downloading the first 2 seasons of Justified, so hopefully this will be good.

any more decent shows I should look out for ?

Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones are very good Gaz.
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'

Saw Boardwalk empire.Really enjoyed the first 2 seasons, lost track of it with all the other stuff i downloaded.

No interest in aninmation, fairytale, supernatural or fantasy type bullshit so things like supernatural, ghost stuff, and vampire crap is not gonna be watched, even if the wife keeps trying to persuade me they are good.
Was gonna watch the show Alcatraz, but then heard it ended on a cliffhanger episode only for the show to be cancelled so thought forget that

contrary to bullshit spread elsewhere i am not a trek fanatic,i never even seen a full episode of the original series.
I do however love the show Deep space nine and have watched and enjoyed all the others
It was the sexually repressed tea boy who started all that shit when he went searching for my personal details on the net and found out i made star trek pics for comps and paysites.

Other than trek the only stuff that would fall under fantasy I would watch would be stuff like the alien movies, or predator kind of stuff, but not your dungeons and dragons, harry potter etc type of rubbish

watched 2 movies tonight.

"Safe House" with Denzel Washington...CIA thriller. Not bad worth watching if a little predictable.

The second was a german movie called "The Lives of Others".........absolutely fantastic.....

others I watched in the last week or so were the older movies "the Departed" and "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy"..........2 excellent shows

What the fuck is Firefox doing on that list?
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life
