Was much more like it used to be.
You may have missed it because the broadcast clashed with something at Ally Pally. Possibly the MVG-Reyes session, can't remember exactly.

An excellent episode indeed. The Grinning Man is (still!) my next episode.
Grinning man was ok
I have watched this now, and The Judas Tree.

Enjoyed Grinning but I had to re-watch the end of Judas to work out what had actually happened. A bit of a wobbly one, wasn't it? Paul McGann and his tree.

No, that's an earlier one.

Tree is a revenge plot against two girls who killed Paul McGann's autistic(?) brother about 20 years earlier. They push one of them through a window onto some spikes, incriminating the other one.

Oh yes that was tenuous at best

Sorry Randall I'll have to disagree. Great idea but dragged on far to long. The last episode had no real conclusion far to many unsolved questions. I hope they do have a second season and don't end up like many yankie programmes and binned after 1 series!

I'd have preferred a focused 1 season story told and done but that's not how American tv does it.
Its commissioned for season 2 so 1 was never going to have anything other than a cliffhanger ending.

I wished I'd known that I would have missed about 6 episodes in the middle! Lol

Finished The Thin Blue Line. Moved on to Bottom.

In the first episode of Bottom, remember the sex shop. The man behind the counter is Kevin McNally who almost 30 years later plays Captain Mainwaring in the Dad's Army remakes on Gold. So there's that. Bizarre.

Whistle and I'll Come to You. 1968. Rickety and windswept. It is excellent. An MR James ghost story.
