in that emotional maelstrom there was only ever going to be one winner, all blacks were fighting destiny that day.

I was rugby mad that decade - played loads. Don't watch as much now as American sports have taken over for me.

Fair do's. Still probably not enough for a team with their rep though.
A couple of famous capitualtions, both against France 1995 (Lomu Year) and 2007 I think. Both occasions they were by far the best team in the world, and blew it.

Can't see it happening this year, on home soil.
In '95, they got to the final against SA. They capitulated against France in 99 at Twickenham. Great game.
Yeah, that's right, get my years muddled up, but will always remember that game for the sudden realisation that chipping behind the Blacks' midfield sent them into panic... Great stuff.

I really struggle to get into the Rugby World Cup. Goes on too long, too long between matches, and the time difference aint gonna help.
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

Has to go on longer because the players need longer to recover between matches than soccer girls.

Time difference is ridiculous - audience figures will be extremely low.

They don't need longer, that's a fallacy.

They take longer because they are told too.

Rugby players exert themselves less over the course of a match & play less games. So the comparison (see how I can spell that word right?) is a moot one.

So just as we're getting done with the cricket the rugby starts  The 2 sports I fucking hate

Is this rugby union or rugby league? I have no time for either but just so I can sound intelligent when somebody asks

Still 200,000 unsold tickets for it.

They are really struggling to fill the stadiums. However, I'm not sure teams like Namibia have a massive following...

Nah, I think they had to play one qualifier - it was probably against Netherlands or something but there is a mechanism. Only the hosts and the previous semi-finalists get through automatically.

Or that used to be it anyway...

Top 3 in each group from the 2007 event get in automatically. So I suppose it wasnt by "default" but you get the idea.
