So Watford let me down and I had a fiver left in the account so win lose or draw this is my last bet for a while

Smith
Chissy
Gurney
Wright
MvG
Anderson

The fiver pays £80 or nothing

Appears to be a big debate going on about fixed odds machines in bookies. I've never played them but has anyone here?

Only with loose change. Anyone who uses them regularly is a fucking dunce.

At least with sports betting you can study form and pick up on what you think are valuable lines. With fixed odds betting terminals you are always going to eventually lose.

Heard some horror stories about these things being capable of taking £300 a minute. Serious money which no doubt is why there's so many bookies in the high streets, especially in less affluent areas.

I understand the concept of chasing money which all fruit machines are built on but this takes it to a higher level

Apparently they can take 18k per hour. MPs want the maximum usage to be reduced to around £100 per hour and £2 per minute, to help problem gamblers.

Here's where we either think "Nanny State" or proper regulation. None of us are forced to play these things and it's not reserved to the poor as many with good incomes fall foul.

In this digital age we can all max out our cards and empty bank accounts on line but most don't. What's to stop someone with real problems losing loads on scratch cards which are pretty much the same? Instant win.

Not as simple as it first appears

The maximum is going to be £100 an hour, I believe, to poor people that is still going to be a significant amount to hypothetically lose.

They could lose a load more on the National Lottery scratch cards. I don't see any joined up thinking here

Georges St Pierre only 4/5 to beat Bisping in his UFC return.

Granted GSP has had 4 years out, but he should still beat Bisping fucking easily.
