Two weeks now until NFL starts but if you have ESPN, College Football begins a week earlier with numerous live and as-live games on ESPN America over the course of the weekend. If you like American Football and have never seen a college game, you don't know what you're missing. Crowds and stadia are enormous, atmosphere is incredible and not one player is being paid to play.

Opening weekend fixtures listed here.

Been watching some behind-the-scenes program about some college football team on ESPN. They've got contracts with Nike and all sorts. Just the kit room is bigger than our stores at work. It really is NFL lite.

Saturdays are brilliant on ESPN America, Sat. Build up programme from 2pm and then usually three live games in succession.
