Who says they would want or need to sell him? If I were a Chelsea fan I'd be more concerned about losing your player of the year twice in succession than what happens to Rooney. :D

As much as Chelsea fans will say he was surplus to requirements, he still played 135 games in 2 1/2 years and scored 33 goals on top of 58 assists.

Well, it wasn't at any cost, because Jose offered him more roubles than the glazers offered Yankee dollars.

As with the previous deal, his basic hasn't improved, it is heavily incentivised.

We wait and we see.

Also Chelsea couldn't have offered him anything as both approaches were rejected

Yes, of course they couldn't.

No one ever taps up players.

You know he was tapped up? The second bid says otherwise as it was never gonna be accepted and Rooney didn't press for a move.

This is no more than Moyes trying to say I'm good and a huge mistake

Common knowledge Bruce Buck & stretford met more than once in the summer. Can't imagine those two have much else in common.

Rooney thought united would take the money, but the clusterfuck of a transfer window meant that was unlikely. When united couldn't buy who they wanted to replace him, the deal was dead. Then they got him 4 months later.

As for the terms of the deal, as I understand it, the extra money will come from sponsorship, connected to performance & media. So it will be up to him how much he makes.

More of those deals will become commonplace, I would imagine.

Think it was mentioned on the telly last night that if Rooney dropped 50p on the floor by accident, he will have earned it back in the time it takes for it to drop to the floor.
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

Just under £30 an minute he is on. So maybe not quite the time it takes to drop to the floor (as it would take less than a second) but still a ridiculous amount of money.

sold one player. bought a lot more. spuds should be higher because of the better investment.

frankly only just being above united is a poor return.

if u dont or cant work out the maths dont comment

you bought fellani for how much , then a player chelsea didnt want then gave a chav from liverpool 300k a week , oh and u have a huge ground and fans worldwide

but guess what

no champions league for spurs wont matter
