New Zealand have been crowned croquet world champions after completing an emphatic 13-7 victory over England in the title decider in Mt Maunganui. New Zealand Dominated England for the entire match in what can really only be called an arse kicking. Not bad for a country with a population of only 4 million.

Kiwi single sculler Emma Twigg has been crowned Rowings Single Skull World Champion today, ending the 14-race unbeaten run of Australian world champion Kim Crow in dramatic fashion.

Crow, who started her stunning run after the London Olympics, appeared on track to add another to her tally at the Rowing World Cup in Sydney before Twigg stormed home to take the race on the line.
