Would quite like to see Appleton appointed, but the bookies favourites are currently Jol and RDM, and either of those would be a step in the wrong direction.

Didn't he get the boot from Blackburn after a matter of months.

I agree about Jol, but RDM has a decent record.

RDM was appalling when he was at West Brom. His style was to play nice football, but they couldn't defend at all.

Appleton was aboard a sinking ship at Rovers, I rate him. Plus he has a history with West Brom.

I doubt it will be an obvious choice anyway. Clarke/Hodgson/RDM weren't obvious when they signed them.
