The series can still be tied but changes need making.
Harsh on leach given his fight but he isn't a test spinner and roy has to go.

Winning the previous match was the perfect opportunity to cover the cracks and the selectors didn't disappoint. Now they have nowhere to go

Get Chris Dent in from Gloucestetshire to open, has been a rock for years in the red ball game and having a cracking season. Cant do any worse than what we've had this season

Hasan Azad
Rory Burns
Gary Ballance
Joe Root
Sam Hain
Ben Stokes
Ben Foakes
Chris Woakes
Jofra Archer
Stuart Broad
Matt Parkinson

Would be a line up that actually fought a bit more in tests, and worth experimenting with

Very similar to the Aussies win in Perth in 2010/11. Hopefully the next one continues the pattern.

For the Aussies, Warner needs to go. No idea who replaces him, but ironically Australia's best ever Opening partnership was thrown together in the 5th Test of the 2001 Ashes.

Got a feeling history won't be repeating on that one.

What does Roy have to do to get dropped?
Stevie wonder could see he doesn't have the technique for test cricket.

Selectors didn't have the balls to drop Warner.

I remember in 89 we opened with curtis and moxon with Atherton at 3 on debut in the last test.
Think robin smith walked in at 1-3 and as wisden put it "made a 100 on the burning deck"
