56/10 in 22 overs
I look forward to Jack's defence of this
The worst England side ever surely

I can’t even begin to defend that batting collapse. However your comment earlier regarding getting 271 in 2.5 days was ridiculous. No team on earth would score that on that pitch, no one.

This isn't even test cricket
It's 4 1 day innings played in quick succession
It's over inside 3 days.
The pitch isn't getting any wear, not waiting for a new ball as they don't bat that long.

I was being facetious, clearly I didn't think they would last 5 minutes

Englands next test match is against the West Indies in March. England ‘should’ win that. Maybe the Colonel could ask his gym owner friend from St Helens if it has already been pre recorded.

Seriously though Randall, who would you bin and who would you like to see in the test team?

I think it’s time England give Harry Brook a try.

I don't follow the County game anymore to have any idea
As we have discussed endlessly the set up is the problem
It doesn't produce test batsman

20/20 isn’t going away though and now there is the 100 format.

They can go back to playing pretend cricket now and blow smoke up their own backsides about how great they are.

Plus we can hide behind the pitch but look at the dismissals
Root aside most committed suicide

22.4 overs
All 10 wickets
A wicket every 14 balls
No pitch is that bad
They tossed wickets away
Fuck off

OK thanks

Other than root the pitch had nothing to do with it
I'm afraid it won't wash

Gray Nicolls were always my favourite, even though I was mainly a bowler.
Glad I retired from club cricket when I did, even at that level the 'sport' is a farce these days.
