Well, it would have to have been more subtle than Broad's one from mid-on that landed in the middle of the pitch.

Surely the point is to do it a few times early and then polish the shit out of the less scruffed side?

I don't think it is desperation. Bounce throws to scuff up the ball are a common tactic, although on a normal ground they can bounce it a few pitches away. At the MCG with the drop-in pitch, the only rough surface is the pitch itself, which makes it look more blatant. Umpires need to do more than just talk about it, though.

I think this match has shown there really isn't much between the teams. England lose their best player and then the first 3 matches. Australia lose their best bowler and struggle to bowl England out here.

How to best out a draw.
Something else England can't do.

They might have been able to on that pitch. More life in the 'crowd' at the World Darts Trophy

England don't think so as they are going with two spinners.

I'm done with club cricket after nearly 40 years, the ''sport'' is a sham these days and being completely ruined by ££££££££ at the lower levels.

Nathan Lyon is better than the English spinners but I think the Poms played better than a 3-0 suggests.

He should've played in Melbourne.

How bad does Moeen have to go to get dropped? I know he would've been if Woakes was fit, but surely they could find someone better?

Half decent position blown.
Tails vanishes tomorrow and another struggle looms if the Aussies can be bothered.
