I don't like this rule.

It is a bit of a strange rule in the current climate where tests last 3 to 4 days.. don't suppose holder will be too upset as the series is done and dusted but if it had been 1-1 it would have meant a lot to WI..

It's meant to enrich the spectators enjoyment ie more overs in a day but if the home team loses its captain and best player I don't see the logic.

There is talk of Bairstow dropping down the order a bit.
Whether that means Root at 4, Bairstow 5 and Butler 6 with Stokes 7 I don't know but either way, someone in that top 3 has got to score some runs and hang in there till the second session, otherwise we will be panicking and hitting out as per usual

Lower order and bowlers have been saving England for a few years now but look at the bowling for a minute. Broad and Anderson are close to the end and there's no obvious replacements.
