The World Test Championship confuses me. Each team only plays 6 of the 8 others, and Australia got more points for winning the first Test against Pakistan than they did for the entire Ashes Series.

Re: cricket thread
No, there is 120 points available per series, regardless of length. So each match in the Ashes was worth 24 points for a win, and each match in a 2 Test Series is 60 points for a win.Randall wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 10:11 amAre Pakistan ranked far higher than England?Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2019 9:58 am The World Test Championship confuses me. Quality of opposition and home or away doesn't come into it.

AUS 4/137 leading by 456 runs. MCG deck is quite lively so far, Vics had to headhunt the former WACA curator Matt Page to get it right.
