Maybe he could have dragged Taylor down, we will never know.

I like the old man. The kid does little for me.

Eubank Jr will probably beat him provided he's not a corpse on fight night.

This. It all depends on what the rehydration clause is as well which could help Benn more. I’m assuming if Eubank Jr is too much over the rehydration limit the fight is off as I’m sure he would take a huge fine knowing he will be paid very well and he would win very easily.

I think Eubank JR has wasted his career at times. I think by now he should have picked up a version of a world title or been in contention to fight for them, but he seems to spend his time fighting lower level opponents he knows he will win. I am surprised at this fight with Benn as I would think Eubank Jr has far more to lose. If Benn were to beat him his career is pretty much over, whereas Benn can go back down weights and carry on. I would have rather Eubank Jr go for a world title first and Benn needs to fight a top level fighter at his own weight.
I personally hope Eubank Jr wins and he will certainly start as favourite.

I don't pay much attention if I'm honest
Benn fights at middle and eubank at super middle?
What are we talking? 6 pounds?

Connor Benn fights at Welterweight. Eubank JR at Middleweight and has fought at super middleweight.

That's more of a spread
All this super stuff is a modern invention anyway
Fighters used to fight with weight disparity all the time
Obviously they still do at heavy

He's already had two world title shots.

He also held the IBO title, although nobody took that seriously as a world title.

He’s only fought once for a legitimate world title against Groves but prior to that and since, I would have expected him to have fought for a world title. It’s not like his two losses were damaging and it was very close against BJ Saunders.
As you have implied, if Eubank JR is comfortable at the stipulated weight, he will win pretty easily, he is very strong and can take a punch.

My mistake, I thought the Saunders bout was for a world title.

I think Eubank wins because of the weight disparity. Not because I particularly rate him. I loathe Saunders, but he did beat Eubank despite not taking training seriously. Groves also made Eubank look silly at times.

The whole thing reeks of desperation. Hearn and Matchroom have struggled since leaving Sky.

Eubank JR was very poor against Groves and was so one dimensional, terrible tactics.
Against Saunders, he lost the first 6 or 7 rounds then dominated against BJS It was a close fight after 12 but Saunders had the early rounds in the bank. Under Roy Jones JR Eubank JR has definitely improved.
