It's anything but bye bye, that's just made it easier for them to survive.

But at what level though?
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'

they will still qualify for Europe, & will find an owner who has money. It wouldn't take much cash to be 2nd in the SPL.

What's the penalty for going into administration in Scotland?
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life

Have a read of Rangers Tax Case, mate. They won't get out of this unless they find someone ready to throw a hundred million at them just to pay their debts, then they need to rebuild the stadium because of all the asbestos in the main stand. Next to no income for the next four seasons if they manage to get through it, this is the end of Rangers as we know it

No mate. Administration brings a three year ban from Europe.

unlikely. They'll be fine. Would probably be a good thing, keep the wage bill down short term.

They need to come out of admin this season to be issued a license to play in UEFA competitions. If they don't they can't. They also can't fold the club & start a new one & assume rangers place. Chuckle.

Also, administration didn't stop Pompey playing in Europe. Unless that's only coming into force with the new FFP.
yeah, I think it has.

Maybe it'll reduce the wage bill, but as they're losing 10m per year and aven't got many high earning players, this won't help too much. The fact that they've mortgaged four years worth of season ticket money and it appears to have been used to buy the club (in a mini-Glazer style) means that Whyte (a known asset stripper) will take them under to keep the assets. Even if they didn't go under yet, how can they survive with no income streams as the season ticket money goes straight out the door, the catering and merchandising is already sold off? I really don't see how they can survive in any recognisable shape or form and that's before you factor in that they don't hand over any PAYE or NI to HMRC, they're likely to be lumbered with a 49m bill for immediate payment as well as the other bills that haven't been paid.
