In all seriousness Thorn, If you are short of funds then learn how to play darts to a level where you can shark a few pints from others in the pub, I used to end up only having to buy 4 or 5 drinks when I lived in Belgium just playing others from the pub or team mates for a drink over 5 legs, The trick always being not to give them enough of a pasting that they won't play you again. I used to take 1000 Belgian Francs out with me on a Friday (Was roughly £20 back then) I would buy a packet of fags on the way to the pub which were 100 francs, I would have whatever the pub was doing as their special for 150 francs (usually a spag bol or pasta dish but sometimes a casserole or stew with fresh baked bread along with any beer or soft drink) I would then buy a beer (Hoegaarden or Maes) for 40 francs and get on the dartboard for an hour before the rest of the dart teams all got in the pub and there would be the usual discussion about what we were going to play which if there were a lot of us would be winner stays on 1 leg of 1001 but usually started with best of 3 501 winner stays on for a drink. There was never a night where when at the end I went to pay my tab that it was ever more than around 400 francs, As a rule of thumb...The more I had in change from my 1000 francs on Saturday, The longer it took to get out of bed and get rid of the hangover and there was one night I ended up puking non stop for most of Saturday and when I was actually able to go out of the house to go get a packet of fags...I had 4 x 2000 franc notes in my jacket pocket and a 10,000 franc note as well.....And still to this day....I have no fucking idea how I ended up going out with £20 worth in my pocket and arriving home with £360 worth.
