TDF employment and retirement thread

Post by Mabbsy » Wed Oct 18, 2017 8:47 pm

Just for MH, post your joys and woes of your current employment here.

I am 2 years 3 months into my current and best job ever, hopefully be there until I retire now.
Best pay, best conditions and best benefits I have ever had.
No mortgage now so piling cash into the final salary pension scheme too.

Life is good :D

I'm coming up on five years in my latest job.
Virtually six weeks holiday a year.
Comfortable enough salary wise, don't want for anything. invested 10k into the house in the last year.
Can't complain.

Yep I wanted this job to last another ten years but when there's a total wanker running the show there's only one result.

That in mind I took nothing for granted and put away as much as possible. I knew this was coming. Unfortunately for the wanker that made it happen he believes his own bullshit and is now paying a huge price.

Sounds like a classic case of a greedy owner manager fleecing the place for his own benefit with no regard to anyone else ?

Yep, he didn't own the gaff but was promoted way above his ability. Didn't get it in as much as if you want the big bucks you have to put the big effort in

Happened across an interesting job/project earlier, a firm miles behind and all manual books. The rate offered is shite but an opportunity to make something from it
