Weight was playing havoc with my knees, amongst other problems!

My left knee is shot, both Achilles tendons, possible left hip then right elbow and shoulder. All down to past sporting activity. Hurts to walk at times but it is what it is. I'm probably about twenty pounds overweight but having been where I was four years ago I'll live with it.

Life is still very good

I'm now classed as healthy, before I was very obese.
Quite happy where I am now, just a case of maintaining.

Stop driving and start riding a bicycle most everywhere you go. It solves several problems with a single lifestyle change. You'll not only lose weight, you'll have more money in your pocket as well.

Oddly despite eating the same, and exercising I have gained 6 pounds.
Even more oddly given that my trousers are now to big, that fitted before, weird.

Did you just "forget" to put the second "o" in the word "too"?

Gained muscle, muscle takes up less room on your body than fat does..

Think of it this way.. If you have a pound of feathers and a pound of gold, both will weigh the same. But the pound of feathers will take up more space on the scale. That’s sort of how muscle and fat compare inside your body.
