Reading this has made me think how lucky I/Ruby is she is coming up 11 and fit as a flea. Hope they get this right mate

I've had lots of dogs over the years and never come across this before.
Had snapped ligaments and stuff that requires surgery etc but this is a minefield.

Sounds like an almost impossible task mate. I was diagnosed with diabetes last year and too low is just as bad as too high. Can you test her blood before giving insulin?

I'm told you can
But its neither as cheap or as easy.
She has to go for "curve days" at the vets where they monitor her readings all day to try and make judgement on insulin levels
Its neither accurate or cheap at this stage.
