the heating has been at the same level on our thermostat as previous to that. yet its wasting £2 more per day in gas... its annoying.

it has nothing to do with the fact its winter that we are using more , my point was we are 100% using the heating the same as before yet paying more.

As the temperature drops outside leaving the thermostat doesn't mean it won't take more energy to maintain the same temperature inside. It's a moving target

Well i have worked out that the amount it is showing per day is including the standing charge of 31p per day...which is wrong as it's actually 19p per day.
So now I have to deduct 12p a day to tell me what I'm actually using, and then add 5% VAT on. Not a faff at all...
