Gervais is also great because he doesn’t give a fuck who offends.

I watched one episode of the U.S Office and thought it was shite.tungsten tossers wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:22 pmGervais with Pilkie is pure TV Genius
I was never really a fan of Uk Office but the US one is superb
Maybe a bit unfair after one episode but I’ve seen a few of the UK one and didn’t think it was funny either.

Yeah, you have to watch a few episodes to get into it...Jimmi wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:27 pmI watched one episode of the U.S Office and thought it was shite.tungsten tossers wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:22 pmGervais with Pilkie is pure TV Genius

For me, the characters are better in the US version...
But Pilkie is so good...
Not so keen on "Derek" as he was acting....
He is so funny when he is just being himself

His show that he did on Sky 1 was quite funny.tungsten tossers wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:29 pmYeah, you have to watch a few episodes to get into it...Jimmi wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:27 pmI watched one episode of the U.S Office and thought it was shite.tungsten tossers wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:22 pmGervais with Pilkie is pure TV Genius

Re: The Brown Bread thread
I highly recommend listening to all the Old XFM shows with Pilkington, Gervais and Merchant, i have them downloaded on spotify and they get me through boring days at work quite often, so much hilarious content in there that beats the podcasts they did and idiot abroad, which are both great as well
On Ricky Gervais though I think his shows have slowly got worse since him and Merchant went seperate ways. It shows a lot of the subtle touches in Extras and The Office was Merchant's writing rather than Gervais's

+1 "re" the old XFM shows... I liked the Ricky Gervais show too, where they sat round the table and talked...TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:58 pmI highly recommend listening to all the Old XFM shows with Pilkington, Gervais and Merchant, i have them downloaded on spotify and they get me through boring days at work quite often, so much hilarious content in there that beats the podcasts they did and idiot abroad, which are both great as well

His stand up is a bit hit and miss to me...Sometimes I find him funny and other times he annoys the fuck out of me

Some pure gold from Pilkington.
The banter between him and Merchant is always top notch.

Re: The Brown Bread thread
The first 3 seasons are very immature.
But it is mostly a well written show overall.
Not scared to push boundaries either.
The two episodes where they rip the piss out of Family Guy are great.
