Was famously dropped from the Test Team in 1992/93 despite topping the averages on the previous tour.

Even the Premier of Victoria tweeted today that he should have played more Tests.
I thought i misheard 1989 Ashes.

What was the reason he wasn't picked?
Or was there no reason given ?

No real reason given. Maybe it was due to his personality, getting offside with selectors etc. Maybe they just thought he was past his best.

His replacement was Damien Martyn who went on to be a very handy player too.

No real reason given. Maybe it was due to his personality, getting offside with selectors etc. Maybe they just thought he was past his best.

Still shouldn't have stopped him from being picked.
Flintoff wasn't exactly a "role model" but was still picked on his ability to play.
