They dont bother anyone else
It's an insular community
What impact they would have on a wider area is debatable.

As far as I'm aware the minimum furlough period is three weeks. Am sure your firm will take advantage of that before the employer contribution kicks in in August

Re: The Good Morning Thread - 12pm to 12am
I know the rules changed on the 1st of July.
From 1 July, employers can bring furloughed employees back to work for any amount of time and any shift pattern, while still being able to claim CJRS grant for the hours not worked.
That makes me think that the 3 week rule has probably come to an end too.

My understanding is the three week rule still applies but the amount claimed is reduced by the amount of time an employee works.

Could be, I only had a brief look and there was no mention of the three week rule either way. I would side with you as you're looking into this for a living and I'm not.

Were just told we were back on furlough until told otherwise. The earliest we could be back is the 20th as the review date is the 18th.
Its not like the wolf is at the door but like anyone, losing 20% of your salary for 4 months it's not helpful

Been working from home since the end of March. Finally going back on July 13th. But it is going to be one week at the office, one week at home, alternate weeks.

I'm at home until social distancing has gone that's what we got told 2 weeks ago so god knows when that will be.Jimmi wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 11:23 pmBeen working from home since the end of March. It's good like I get up at 8 have breakfast log in at 8.30 then work through to 4 and Bosh I'm done. I've done an extra few hours this week so next week I finish at 12 on Wed,Thurs and Fri for the darts starting

Bit miffed you got paid in full and did nothing for weeks, though.
