I think people are taken in by the myth of scrounging and benefit fraud. I read the governments own figures on fraud from last year, which amounted to about 0.8% of the welfare bill (more money is lost to errors than fraud), which is far smaller a percentage than some would have you believe.

The biggest scroungers are the royals.

There is a direct correlation between career scroungers and immigration, errors and fraud are not part of this problem in my opinion.

The vast majority of immigrants do work and contribute to the state as the statistics bear out. However the previous point of a qualifying period prior to being eligible to claim even the most basic benefits would be a deterrent in itself

As I said earlier mate part of the entry criteria should be secure accommodation along with a job.

The scheme is completely wrong. If Poundland have a vacancy they should pay the going rate. I don't see why someone should have to work the same job in the same shop for about a third of the money the other full-time staff would get.

All schemes like this do is encourage businesses to look for the cheapest labour possible.

They have the same sort of scheme over here where the Government pay you €50 extra on top of your SW payment. Already there are over 200 companies disqualified from the scheme.
Two years ago it emerged that one leading retailer hired on all their part time Christmas staff through this scheme. How can real jobs ever be created when the government and employers are complicit in this scam.

There is a scheme over here where the government put people on the dole in these schemes for a YEAR.
It is either a week on and week off or 19 and a half hours a week.

They get zero extra than their dole, refuse to do it and they will cut you off.
You work for another state department like the council picking up shit. When the year is over their is ZERO chance you will be then taken on.

It should be illegal, its one minister sitting down with another minister juggling figures, and the dole minister offers the other minister thousands of his register.
His figures on the dole are being reduced, the other cunt is getting slave labour for nothing, with no end benifit for the poor guy doing the work.

Even the most meaningless job offers more than the dole and gives minimum wage.Its legalised slave labour

Romania is a hotbed of organised crime and the front door's about to be opened to those best able to export it here.

The mistake the last government made wasn't allowing the Poles in to work but allowing them immediate benefit rights including Child Benefits for kids who didn't even live here.

This government has to learn from that mistake and make this country less attractive. £20 is pretty worthless here but it's worth a fucking lot more there
