Re: Elections
If the vote was tomorrow most would vote no anyway Welsh. I dont think the yes poll has had anymore than 30% at any time so far.

Re: Elections
We have the first past the post system gaz and av is a different way of electing mp's by adding 2nd, 3rd choices etc to eliminate the chance of someone being elected without a majority, with av if no one has 50% the last candidate gets eliminated and 2nd choice is taken into account etc.
But most people have voted no for av anyway so thats that.

ah oh...we have av in ireland..presumed most countries had to be honest.Dartfrog wrote:We have the first past the post system gaz and av is a different way of electing mp's by adding 2nd, 3rd choices etc to eliminate the chance of someone being elected without a majority, with av if no one has 50% the last candidate gets eliminated and 2nd choice is taken into account etc.

With AV a politician could be the top of the list get the most votes, but his party might not get the majority of votes

Re: Elections
That' gonna hurt the coalition without a doubt. The only reason they agreed was because they thought they'd get something out of it.
