4 weeks in... how am I doing?

Hi all.

I've been mostly playing round the world to get more accurate at hitting the numbers I'm aiming at and I'm definitely getting better. Practicing for 2 to 5 hours a day depending how busy I am when working from home.

I've been trying to do A1 drill but my best including bull is 525 darts. The bull I find really tricky to hit.

My best round the world I did today in 40 darts.

I played 8 legs of 501 today as well. My highest score was 101 and I regularly hit the 20. I had one leg with a 48 average but my average over the 8 legs was 32. Hitting doubles sometimes is frustrating.

Is this a good level for someone that's been playing for 4 weeks? I have really good spells but then I get in a rut and can't release the darts properly because I may be overthinking my throw. Is this normal for a beginner?

That's pretty much the same standard I'm playing at. Pretty decent for a beginner. There is a long way to go before you'll become consistent (perhaps it never happens) so I wouldn't worry about that

Honestly at this stage you should just be enjoying the game rather than trying to put measures on your progress.
I almost always just used to play 501.
It brings in all the sectors at some point.
Who really needs to hit d17 t7 etc in the course of a game at beginner level?
If i did practice it was 57 8 16 24 20 51 54 36 etc

Try playing 301
Or trying to finish from 170 down
This will bring in other sectors, keep it fun and improve your counting.
