I've been reading a few threads on here the past couple weeks, but I've only signed up now because I need to get this off my chest because I'm so fucking angry.

I'm 17, have been playing darts for 8 years now. The 2011 World Final between Lewis and Anderson is what got me hooked on the game, but anyway to the last hour.

One of the practice games I do is I try to check out 301 in 12. I'd already done it twice when I did it a third time in about 15 or so attempts. For me, that's sharp shooting. After I've done it this many times I'd usually go in (my board is at the bottom of the garden in the log cabin), but I was throwing well, and the third successful attempt was a D18 in 10. It felt slightly unfulfilling because it was a low finish with just one dart. so I decided I'd try to get another. The very next attempt I missed 76 last dart in hand at tops, right on the wire. I wish to god it had gone in now.
The next half an hour was an absolute shit show, hardly got near to achieving it. I was still throwing with a good rythym, but my accuracy had gone to shit. I was getting so frustrated that I was throwing away darts with my non-throwing hand like a javelin. I eventually threw one so hard the point fell off the barrell. In 8 years, I'd never seen this. I couldn't find the point, and I thinking I wouldn't be able to play anymore, I just threw the darts at one of the windows on the log cabin in sheer anger and frustration. Suprise, suprise, the window now looks like a smashed phone screen. I told my mum sheepishly, who now won't talk to me, and I'm looking at paying a huge bill for the damage.

So yeah, the darts is great ATM.

It does actually. When the only darts you see other than your own pile of crap is that on the TV, I guess it's easy to think everyone else out there is as good.

I was watching it a bit earlier and yesterday thinking if only I could throw a 75 average or whatever like Wes Newton. Even he or someone like O'Shea would have wiped the floor with me.

Certainly shouldn't be worrying about your average.

It never bothered me, until I played my brother a couple of weeks ago over about 16 legs 301, and my average was something like 34. Maybe that explains why I've lost in the 1st round in each competition I've entered.

What's letting you down, scoring or finishing?

Done the same once. Angrily smashed it onto the table after 5 rounds of constantly hitting only 5s and 1s instead of 20s then it flew to my glass door and broke that.

You would benefit from an anger management course, Greipel. Maybe consult Oche about that.
