Tip for the “Yips”

Post by Sean19130 » Fri Jan 26, 2018 11:57 pm

I just figured something out and thought I would share in case it helps anyone else struggling with the same problem.

I’ve been shooting with a funky motion the past year and I think I found out a remedy. While practicing I noticed my head was shifting during my throw, which caused my arm and elbow to dip before every release! Yesterday, I made a conscious effort to keep my neck completely straight throughout the entire throw and my whole form has improved dramatically. I am now able to concentrate on the target better and have more control over my release now that my arm and shoulder are staying in a locked position.

If anyone is struggling and hasn’t tried this out, give it a shot and hopefully it will help you as much as it did for me!

Uncalled for, fellas.

Give the new guy a chance, he has the potential to be a great poster here.

Agreed.
Every beginning is difficult. Might turn into something decent over time.

Good advice, I'll try it.
