Shot Roman Empire Centurion Darts Review

Post by dartsdirect81 » Sat Sep 09, 2023 9:11 pm

It's review time again, I purchased these darts yesterday after driving down to Berkshire to double top darts shop to collect the darts.
They're very expensive to say the least... I hope it's money well spent. These are the 23g version as that is the weight of dart that I generally tend to favour.

They're interesting looking darts in a bronze titanium shield coating with red pct and silver tungsten accents polished to a mirror shine. It has a 'steadfast Galea helmet grip' in the centre.
The Roman Testudo grip is milled into the Centurion's dominant nose, defining the front-weighted, short torpedo-shaped Barrel. The midsection is machined with deep cuts running over spiked "knuckles," completing the Galea gauntlet grip pattern. Consistent rings run through its tail. The result is three distinct grip sections, a barrel that will sit comfortably in your hand regardless of finger placement. It's nice to throw and feels very comfortable in my hand. A push point sits behind the shields on the nose - this is the ideal point for force on a barrel of this shape.

These are yet another high-quality dart from Shot that is both beautiful in design and grip. I've owned various darts from shot and they never fail to impress me with their quality.
So much attention to detail has gone into these barrels, and the variation of grip profiles showcased on the barrel is fantastic.
They are also very well balanced darts. I like the knuckle-like middle grip and found it to be a great push point.

I will say that I have not had them for very long so these are very much just my initial impressions, my view on these may change overtime.

Cheers

Agreed, they're really high quality.
To be honest Shot are a fabulous company. Every dart I've purchased from them has been great.

£94.94. A lot of money but they're throwing well at the moment so it looks like they could be worth it.

With half that amount you could buy Thorn.

I have my eye on some Thorn darts currently, they're only £54.95, so just over half. Problem is they're 24g so maybe just a gram too heavy for me as I play best with and favour 23g darts.
