I just started throwing darts and one day I figured I would attempt to throw them like a knife (holding the tip and release flight first). It turns out that the throw line is a perfect distance for a half rotation and to my surprise the darts stick perfectly straight. I can hit practically anywhere I want on the board. Now my question is; is it "legal" for me to throw a dart like this in a league or competition?
Interesting, would you not get a better knife like throw if you cut off two of the four flight wings and held/released the dart with the remaining flight wings in the vertical position?
