Paul Nicholson 20g Darts
Full expecting at least one 'ok thanks' post but here is little review of the darts won in the Grand Prix comp after the success of my first review. A big thanks to Winmau, thedartsforum.com, MH, tdf mods for the prize...
First thing I noticed was the dashing picture of CM Punk on the front of the packet:
Next up is the 'Noncy Nigel' picture which shows I still have the last set and have been putting them to use on the dartboard and have not just flogged them on eBay... cHorTle
Now for the nitty gritty, they're 20g and 50mm; my preferred weight and length and also very thin, just like I like them so I pretty much took to them straight away, smashing the arse off of the T20 from the get go. Also, these must be the first set of darts I've ever had where I actually think the paint looks alright on them, so won't be using the nail varnish remover on these! Here is another picture, this time of a ''Myers 180!'', as you can see there is loads of room left in the treble:
Overall a crackin' little set of darts (said in Phil's interview voice), and would recommend to anyone who likes lighter, thinner darts...
Bah gawwd I'm beginning to sound like a DartsNutz member!!

Re: Paul Nicholson 20g Darts
They're straight, think it's the grip pattern making them look like that, the smooth bit at the front and then quite wide cuts after that, might make them slightly front loaded but they throw like a straight barrel.skweezit wrote:they look front loaded from the first couple of pictures.

Have never liked painted barrels, makes the darts look 'cheap'. Used to chuck Merv King darts which were also painted, like you I used paint stripper to remove it. Darts looked better in my mind without the paint.

True doG, true.. this is the first set I've had where the paint has looked quite good though.doG wrote:Have never liked painted barrels, makes the darts look 'cheap'. Perhaps if they were the colours of your football team or national team etc, but some unrelated colour is as I say, cheap.
